As I anticipated this year my NYE has been amazing! I spent the night at one of the most exciting NYE party I’ve ever taken part to! But to tell you the truth all my day has been very exciting! I can say that I’ve spent the 31st of December with James Bond! Do you remember the movie in which a super handsome James Bond was riding a long tail boat through the Bangkok Floating Market? Well, let’s say that my trip on the long tail boat has been more quiet but not less fascinating!
Not only the NYE party given at The Mandarin Hotel was dedicated to 007, all the pools were covered with big aces, dices and guns, there was a big stage where a beautiful singer with her band has sang all the most beautiful songs like the ones of Frank Sinatra and Pink Martini during the dinner (I don’t even have to tell you that was delicious). Then everybody has started to dance, there was a big disco called Casino Royal inside the hotel and other three open air with live music! Talking about fireworks they have been really amazing! All the most important hotels of Bangkok are on the Chao Praya river so at midnight the fireworks have been so impressive and amazing that I don’t know how to describe them!

Come vi ho anticipato quest'anno il mio capodanno è stato eccezionale! Ho passato la sera del 31 a una delle più emozionanti e belle feste a cui abbia mai preso parte! Ma a dire la verità la mia intera giornata è stata eccezionale! Potrei dire di aver passato il 31 Dicembre con James Bond! Vi ricordate il film in cui un affascinate James Bond corre su una barca lunga e affusolata (le famose long tali boat tailandesi) tra i violetti di un mercato sull'acqua? Era ovviamente quello di Bangkok. Ho passato la mattina proprio li, e mi sono lasciata trasportare dalla magia di un posto dove il tempo si è fermato, dove i colori e i profumi si mescolano fino a creare un incantesimo!
Anche il party di capodanno che si eè tenuto al Mandarin era dedicato a 007, dato che molte scene sono state girate proprio qui. Le piscine erano coperte da grandi care da gioco, dadi e pistole galleggianti, la facciata dell'hotel era illuminata con i titoli dei film più famosi e dal palco scenico una splendida cantante con la sua band intonava canzoni perfettamente in linea con lo spirito della serata. da Frank Sinatra a PInk Martini fino ad arrivare ai balli più sfrenati. All'interno dell'hotel la hall eè stata trasformata a tema Casino Royal e la festa si eè protratta fino all'alba! A mezzanotte i fuochi d'artificio hanno regalato uno spettacolo eccelso. Dato che gli hotel più belli della città affacciano tutti sul fiume Chao Praya quando sono iniziati i festeggiamenti lo spettacolo pirotecnico è esploso in tutta la sua magnificenza!
