When I went To Singapore I fell in love with asian designers. In January i wrote a post about the world's first luxury retail website which showcases top fashion names in Asia..do you remember? Well, a few days ago the Press Office of ShopTheMag.com has contacted me to present the launch of their new campaign named I'm B.A.D. - Backing Asian Designers - This campaign aims to bring new awareness to the growing list of premium designers in Asia, 10 interviews with people who play key roles in the asian fashion system and industry will be released during the campaign. Girls (and bloggers) from all over the world are involved in the project, they just need to present their idea of Asian fashion through pictures and outfits that will be published on Facebook and on ShopTheMag.com blog. There will be also a big giveaway (S$1000 wardrobe giveaway) in collaboration with the top australian blog karencheng.com but you will find information about that directly on ShopTheMag.com page on Facebook! Make some room in your closet for Asian designers, now it's time to check them out!! I really want to share this information with you because I've had the chance to visit Asia and Singapore (where ShopTheMag.com is based) and I've seen how beautiful are asian designers' creations!

ShopTheMag.com è il primo sito di luxury ecommerce al mondo ad essere dediacato esclusivamente ai top designer asiatici e qualche giorno fa sono stata contattata dal loro ufficio stampa per presentarmi il nuovo progetto I'm B.A.D. - Backing Asian Designers - questa campagna ha il preciso scopo di portare i celebri nomi della moda asiatica sui computer di tutto il mondo per dimostrare che la moda non è solo un concetto occidentale. ShopTheMag.com proporrà 10 interviste a personaggi di rilievo (da fotografi a stilisti fino ai direttori moda delle principali testate patinate) che potrete consultare tramite la pagina Facebook del sito oppure direttamente sul loro blog. Non solo, per creare un maggior coinvolgimento tutte le ragazze e le blogger sono invitate a postare su Facebook una foto che rappresenti la loro idea di moda asiatica, tutte le foto verranno postate anche sul blog di ShopTheMag.com. Per concludere la campagna I'm B.A.D. ci sarà un giveaway in collaborazione con il blog australiano numero uno karencheng.com che darà la possibilità a ognuna di voi di fare shopping su ShopTheMag.com con un buono da S$1000 e portare direttamente nei vostri armadi le creazioni dei top designers d'oriente!

Ci tengo molto a condividere con voi queste informazioni. Ho avuto la chance di visitare l'Asia e Singapore (dove ShopTheMag.com è basato) e ho visto di cosa sono capaci quesito designers..ve ne innamorerete anche voi!

Portofino is one of those towns whose name is enough to recall all his story. People from all over the world come here since ages and everybody falls in love with the colors, the food and the unforgettable atmosphere. With a little of imagination you can still see Rita Hayworth and Rex Harrison coming out from their villa, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall walking around eating an ice cream, Orson Wells smoking a cigar, Joan Collins sunbathing and Kim Novak having a marvellous glass of wine in the main square. Going back to the Crusades age here we find the residence of Richard I (Richard the Lionheart), who chose to stay in The Brown Castle that overlooks all the bay. Today the Brown Castle is one of most chosen sets for weddings and parties because of his timeless atmosphere and undisputed personality.

Here my tips for Portofino:

1- Wear flat shoes, the ground is irregular and each girl I see with high heels is absolutely inappropriate.

2- Book your table for dinner and lunch in advance because the Piazzetta is small and restaurants are always fully booked.

3- Buy Focaccia in the first shop on the left with the green sign, you will never forget it. Bring some focaccia home, freeze it and then put it in the oven..it's not the same but it will put a smile on your face!

4- Have an aperitif Da Ugo, ask for a Bellini or a Rossini, Mr.Ugo or his son will bring you a quarter of Moet Chandon and mix it with real peach or strawberries. don't complain for the bill. Portofino is expensive and you have to know it before coming here.

5- Take a walk and reach the church on the hill to get a breathtaking view of the bay.

6- If you want to do some shopping here you can find Hermes, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Pucci, Gucci, Ferragamo, Loro Piana and Missoni. The multi brand shop Spinnaker is also one of my favorites, here you can find the best of all the most important griffes.

7- My Top3 of the restaurants: Da Puny, Da Mariu and Concordia. The last one deserves a special mention for his secret receipt dedicated to the prawns. Nobody knows how it's done, for sure there is some lemon, some butter and a liquor but I still wonder and try to make them at home with no result.

8- In every restaurant you will go you will find almost the same menu dedicated to the most typical dishes of this area. Don't miss Lasagnette al Pesto, they are not like the more famous Lasagne, they are done just with pasta and pesto...simply delicious!!!

..then simply enjoy!!!

Portofino..basta il nome. Famosa in tutto il mondo, amata dagli stranieri e considerata più che un gioiello dagli Italiani, solo pronunciando questo nome si entra in una dimensione senza tempo. Con un po' di immaginazione possiamo vedere Rita Hayworth e Rex Harrison uscire dalla loro villa, Humphrey Bogart e Lauren Bacall fare una passeggiata con un gelato in mano, Orson Wells che fuma un sigaro al bar, Joan collins che prende il sole e Kim Novak che sorseggia un calice di ottimo vino nella celebre Piazzetta. Andando ancora più indietro del tempo ecco Riccardo Cuor di Leone che sceglie Castello Brown come sua residenza durante la terza crociata. Questo castello ha una vista mozzafiato, domina la baia in tutta la sua magnificenza e proprio per questo oggi viene scelto da centinaia di coppie per il giorno del matrimonio e accoglie le feste più esclusive.

Oggi voglio svelarvi i miei consigli in modo che non vi perdiate nemmeno un po' della magia di questo posto:

1- Indossate scarpe senza tacco, rigorosamente senza tacco! Ogni volta che vedo qualche ragazza portare i tacchi e cercare di passeggiare qui non posso che pensare che sia inappropriato (oltre che faticosissimo data l'irregolarità del suolo!)

2- Prenotate sempre un ristorante sia per cena che per pranzo. La Piazzetta non è certo gigantesca e i posti sono sempre quelli quindi soprattutto in alta stagione rischiate di non trovare un buco!

3- Comprate la Focaccia ovviamente! Entrando in Portofino troverete il panificio sulla sinistra. Lo riconoscerete dall'insegna verde, dal profumo inebriante e dalla simpatia della signora che lo gestisce da tempo immemore! Se non dovete affrontare un lungo viaggio vci consiglio di portarne un po' a casa e congelarla, quando sentirete nostalgia basterà metterla nel forno per guadagnare un sorriso!

4- Fate un aperitivo seduti al sole al bar Da Ugo. Ordinate un Bellini o un Rossini, il Signor Ugo o suo figlio vi porteranno una bottiglietta di Moet Chandon e lo misceleranno a un succo di vere pesche o fragole a seconda della stagione. Non lamentatevi dei prezzi, Portofino è cara..meglio essere preparati!

5- Fate una passeggiata fino alla chiesa sulla collina per aver una splendida vista della baia e scattare qualche foto.

6- Volete fare shopping? A Portofino sono attrezzatissimi per surriscaldare le carte di credito! Qui troverete Hermes, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Ferragamo, Missoni e Loro Piana. Il mio consiglio è quello di andare da Spinnaker, un multibrand shop fornito di tutto il meglio delle passerelle!

7- La mia Top3 dei ristoranti:Da Puny, Da U Mariu e il Ristorante Concordia. Quest ultimo merita una menzione speciale. Ordinate i gamberi, assaporate la salsina in cui sono immersi..è una ricetta segreta che nessuno è ancora riuscito a carpire! Di sicuro ha dentro del limone, del burro e qualche tipo di distillato o liquore.. se mai qualcuno ne sapesse di più sapete dove trovarmi, ho provato e riprovato a farli a casa ma non ci sono mai riuscita!!

8- In quasi tutti i ristoranti troverete menù similari dedicati alla tradizione ligure. Non perdetevi le Lasagnette al Pesto!!! Sono il mio piatto preferito! Niente a che vedere con le più famose Lasagne nostrane, si tratta solo di sfoglie di lasagna e pesto.

..detto questo, divertitevi, passeggiate e lasciatevi avvolgere dall'atmosfera di Portofino!
